Season: Rafting Australia run trips for 11 months of the year from July to May with Spring being our peak season.

Spring is generally the best time to come big boat rafting – 1 and 2 day trips on the Mitta Mitta River or for those who have rafted with us previously – 2 day journeys on the Murray Gates.

Summer is generally the best time to go sports rafting – 1 and 2 day trips on the Mitta Mitta, Snowy Creek or the Upper Murray Rivers . Please take a look at our summer sports rafting page for more details.

Availability: Every weekend and mid-week by request

Grade: 2 to 4, suits novice to experienced

Location: Mitta Mitta River, Omeo, North East Victoria

Duration: 2 Days

Price: $450 per person

Inclusions: All equipment, guides with 30 years experience, lunch.

Meeting Point: Rafting Australia base in the Omeo.

Tour Inclusions: All river equipment, 1 night’s accommodation, 1 breakfast, 2x lunch’s and two days rafting on the Mitta Mitta River.

What to Bring

Personal River Equipment: Glasses strap if required. If you have your own thermal underwear (not cotton) you may bring it along to wear under raft gear or you can just wear your underwear or swimmers. All other rafting equipment is supplied.

Off River Equipment: You should bring; warm clothes for the end of the day including a warm jacket, sturdy shoes, 2 towels, sun screen, a hat or beanie. Personal medication if required. Remember to pack light if you don’t need it don’t bring it.
