Directions from Melbourne via the Hume Fwy:

Travelling North and passing Seymour and Benalla. Just past the Glenrowan Mc Donalds,Veer left off Hume Freeway and turn right on to the “snow road” (400 m past Mc Donald’s) Travel Via snow road through Oxley, Milawa, turning right on to the Ovens Highway via Myrtleford, Bright,
(Get fuel in Bright) Harrietville, Mt Hotham to Omeo.  Travelling time from the western ring road to Bright is 3 hours; Mt Hotham is an hour from Bright depending on road conditions. Omeo is 40 min from Mt Hotham. (Chains required for Mt Hotham, check conditions before leaving Melbourne, travel via Bairnsdale if conditions are poor)

Melbourne to Mitta River via Princess Highway:

To Bairnsdale, turn left at Bairnsdale on to the Omeo Highway (B500), to Omeo.  Drivers should fill their vehicles with fuel at Bairnsdale before leaving the Princess Highway. Magnificent Scenery from Bruthen. 

Meeting Point

From Omeo travel towards Mitta Mitta Township on C543 for approx 7km, then turn right towards Hinnomunjie Bridge on the Omeo Valley Rd. Hinnomunjie Bridge is approx 12km from this turn off.  (If you unsure where Hinnomunjie Bridge is simply ask a local)

Please follow these directions, in the past clients have decided to travel on different routes and they usually get lost!

Map and Directions for Upper Murray River Journeys

Directions From Melbourne via Hume Fwy:
 

Follow the Hume Freeway north out of Melbourne and continue on the freeway until you reach Wodonga. Take the Tallangatta exit and follow this to B400 (Murray Valley Highway) We recommend fuelling your vehicle in Wodonga. Continue towards Tallangatta and on to Corryong on B400.  (Beware of wildlife if travelling in the evening particularly near Shelly) 
The driving time from where the Hume Freeway intersects with the Western Ring road in Melbourne to Corryong is a comfortable 4.5 hours

Directions from Canberra

Travel south on the Monaro hwy to Cooma, turn right in Cooma and travel west towards Adaminaby. Continue on the Snowy Mountains hwy until you reach Kiandra, turn left towards Cabramurra and continue on this road following the signs to Corryong.

Directions from Jindabyne

Travel West on the Alpine Way towards Thredbo.  Continue past Thredbo and over Dead Horse Gap to Tom Groggin. Turn Left approx 20metres after crossing a bridge into the Tom Groggin picnic/camping area. We will meet you at the Picnic Tables approx 50 metres into the picnic/camping area. The travel time from Jindabyne is approx 45 minutes
