Which river Journey is best for me?
With over 30 years rafting experience, we will plan the best rafting trip for you. Simply choose your preferred style of adventure (wild, classic or relaxing) and we will do the rest. We recommend the best possible river section, as determined by current river conditions.

How do I participate in getting down the river ?
In a paddle-raft, each guest and a professional guide have a paddle and navigate the river, working as a coordinated team. After your Safety Talk your guide will teach you all you all the skills you need and you will have ample opportunity to practice before you hit the big rapids.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No, In fact if you fall out of the raft the safest thing to do is float feet first down the river, keeping your feet up in what is known as the international whitewater float position.

How old do I need to be to go rafting?
Generally participants need to be 12 years of age but must be 35kg or heavier and capable of paddling and following instructions, whilst our oldest client was an 87 year old lady

What size groups go rafting?
We Can Accommodate Groups as Large as 100 People, however we limit the number of people to 25 in smaller sub groups to ensure the quality of your experience. Most group sizes are between 12 and 20, consisting of individuals, couples, and social groups.

How many people per raft?
The number of people per raft is determined by the size raft we are running on your trip.
Generally: 4 to 6 clients and one guide paddle in a 14 foot raft
3 to 5 clients and one guide paddle in an 11 foot 6inch raft
1 or 2 clients paddle an inflatable kayak

What type of raft will be used?
Raft sizes are generally changed with river level and how technical the river is. Usually the higher the river the larger the raft and if the river is technical or low we use smaller rafts.  As we constantly monitor river levels the best size raft will be used for your trip ensuring you have the best possible experience.
